Vinegar Hill overlooks Enniscorthy Town in Co. Wexford. It is approximately 400 ft in height. The battle of Vinegar Hill took place on 21st June 1798. Vinegar Hill was the main camp and headquarters of the Rebels. This battle was the last attempt by the rebels to hold and defend ground from the British military.
